| groove1's Full Review: Phisoderm Acne |
I went to my doctor since I was experiencing very bad and painful breakouts on my back (for the record I do not, nor have I ever used steroids as is evidenced by my 6'4" 185 pound body). She prescribed some strong antibiotics and told me to purchase pHisoderm and use it daily. I could not believe the difference immediately after the first use before I even took any of the antibiotics. Though it did not instantly clear up the acne, it did greatly reduce the redness, pain, and swelling.
I used it every day as directed, and coupled with the antibiotics, my skin for the most part cleared up in about two weeks. However, after finishing the supply of the antibiotics and running out of pHisoderm, my skin began to breakout again. Once I began using it again, my skin started clearing up almost immediately.
The active ingredient in this product can make your skin dry, tight and slightly itchy. To avoid this there are some things you can do. Use a light moisturizer without too much oil. Do not use any other acne product or clean your skin with anything else while using. I was able to tolerate the tightness and the itching as it does go away after a few days once your skin gets used to the medication.
After using this product, I found that several other products use the same active ingredient, including Neutrogena and certain Noxczema acne products. They all work fairly well, though pHisoderm does seem to work the best for me.
