| maggsmomm's Full Review: Phisoderm Facial Wash Clear Confidence |
I have lost my beautiful clear skin to bumpy, red puffy, pimples. The breakouts were getting so bad and the occurrence was every 5 minutes, I knew I had to do something quick to clear up my face and prevent anymore from popping up.
Knowledge in hand I grabbed Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash & started comparing ingredients, prices and scents. Out of a possible 4 cleansers all with the same or close to, ingredients I chose pHisoderm Clear Confidence Facial Wash. And what happened next was astonishing!
*-*Packaging*-*
They have a new look, and they went all out. A clear bottle with a subtle tint of pale yellow. pHisoderm is blasted right on the front of the bottle.
The best thing about this packaging is the pump. Its a regular ole lime green tear shaped pump top, the middle is a dark green spiral fitting and the base (which twists off) is lime green.
So what's so great about the pump? it isn't a twist down and turn to lock pump. All you do is more it from left to right, and vise versa to open and close it.

*-*Product*-*
First, this product contains Salicylic acid and a lot of it. After reading all the labels on most "acne care products" 2% is the highest I have found on a store shelf. Dermatologist do prescribe stronger cleansers. But I know from experience not all skin types can handle the active ingredient, it can make your skin much worse, so if its the first time you have ever used a product like this I would suggest doing a spot test, just in case you have a reaction it will be confined to one spot.
Now, I have used my Neutrogena forever. But my skin isn't prone to breakouts. So I quit using it regularly, only on those special occasions when you tend to have clogged pores and oily skin. But this was a severe instance and I have never had such a horrid face!
Out of the pump it's not real thick, or too runny. It will cling to a facial brush, washcloth or your hand.
One pump (about a dime size amount) was all I needed to get a lather to wash my entire face and neck.
The scent is okay, but you can detect the Salicylic acid. I cant stand it but it goes away after you rinse your face. So all that's left behind is a very light floral like scent.
I rubbed it over my skin gently (with my hands not a facial cloth) because if you ever had a bad breakout you know how sensitive your skin gets. It went on nicely and clung to my skin. I waited about a minute then rinsed.
It rinsed off rather quickly and I was shocked. Usually cleansers are hard to rinse off because one ingredient will try to stay behind. But this came right off my face.
Even though I do have sensitive skin it didn't burn, sting or cause drying.
I patted my face dry with a hand towel and immediately you could see results. My skin was nice and taught, and the blemishes that were so unsightly were closed.
The next morning all 12 of my blemishes had dried up completely. I washed my face again and brushed my teeth. I had the same results. Within 2 days there was no trace of a zit anywhere or signs one had even been there.
I was shocked that my face wasn't dried out, usually products like this require the use of extra moisturizer but I didn't experience that at all. In fact I generally wait 30 minutes after washing my face to apply makeup so my skin is even and moisturized. But I was able to use my moisturizer and apply my makeup right away.
My makeup didn't seam to float about my skin, or streak which frequently occurs after using an acne cleanser.
And after a few days I have seen 100% improvement on my face & neck however, im still having breakouts on my chest. So ill be off to buy their sister product pHisoderm Clear Confidence Body Wash.
I know eventually my skin will return to normal but I still pan on using their line of products, just in case!
*-*Use *-*
For twice a day: Clean face and affected body area thoroughly before use. Leave area damp and gently massage cleanser into skin. Leave on for one minute. Rinse well and pat dry.
*-*Price & Availability*-*
You can find pHisoderm products at any discount, grocer, or pharmacy. Expect to pay anywhere from $3.75 to $4.99 for a 6 ounce bottle. 14 ounce bottles are available to refill your pump bottle for $6.99-$8.99. That's an awesome deal!

*-*The Verdict?*-*
I compared it to a few other brands that had the same ingredients, similar packaging just different names. This was by far the least expensive for the amount you get.
When compared to Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash it is not as thick but I use the same amount so I am presuming it will last just as long, about 4 months washing my face twice a day.
I am so happy with the end results. No drying, no more breakouts and those blemishes were blasted right off my face faster than any on the spot treatment I have used in the past.
Id definitely recommend this product to anyone, except those who are sensitive to the active ingredient. It can cause burning, rash, redness, peeling skin, and even worse more breakouts. So test a spot before using it all over your face.
Five stars all the way-*****
