A couple of weeks ago, after not having any luck with a cheap styling cream, my dad (after me telling him all about the Physique Spiral line) brought me home a bottle of Physique Spiral Shampoo, which also came with 100mL of Physique Spiral Conditioner, and 20g of Physique Spiral Cream.

Packaging and Price

Although my samples were two 10g packets, at the store a regular bottle of this cream is 100g and will cost you about $11. Although this is an awesome product, I would not buy it because I found a cheaper product that works just as well and seems to have the same ingredients.

It comes in a small silver pump bottle with a little black spiral and line on either side on the top to show you that it is from the spiral series. Below that there is the Physique signature sideways blue M. Near the bottom of the bottle in white (on top of a green line) it says spiral cream.

Directions

Pump a nickel sized amount into your hand (this may be more or less depending on the length of your hair), and rub your hands together. Apply evenly into damp hair (it says that it may be done in dry hair as well, but when I did this my curls were fluffy and not defined very well). Next scrunch to define the curl.

Product

When you pump this cream into your hand the first thing that hits you is that smell. I had the scent very thoroughly in my review on the shampoo, but it is basically watermelon, kiwi, ozone, and Easter lily.

When I rubbed my hands together, I noticed that Physique Spiral Cream, is very rich and thick, but not so thick that I couldn’t get it through my hair.

Also if you have thin hair steer clear! Since this is a cream it would probably weigh your hair down.

But Did it Work?

This product worked wonders! My curls were shiny, defined and frizz-free without making my hair look greasy. You do however need a gel, mousse or hairspray to keep them that way outside in the wind or rain; otherwise your hair will end up looking horrible when you come inside.

However here is a little interesting thing that I discovered. Here the Physique Spiral Cream will cost you $11 and Pantene I can find on sale for $4.50. The ingredients for Physique Spiral Cream and Pantene Pro-v Frizz Control Smoothing Crème Have the exact same ingredients! Although I was unable to find the ingredients for Pantene Pro-v Anti-frizz cream from their spiral series since it is new, I’m sure that they are the same too since I got the exact same results as with the Physique Spiral Cream.

Overall Recommendation

Although this stuff was amazing I would suggest that you buy the Pantene Pro-v Moisturizing Curls Shaper Anti-Frizz cream instead since it is cheaper, and although this stuff smells heavenly, I like the Pantene scent better.

Also remember to use hairspray or gel when you go outside so you don’t get to work or school with your hair looking horrible!

Remember as well that if you have fine hair it will most likely weigh your hair down.
