Pros: Great Sound, Power, Versatility and Lots of tweaks and gizmos.
Cons: XM Radio Display pitiful, no scrolling, sad for a $1200 Head Unit.
The Bottom Line: Check w/Sony First, Better display (full color) but compares in features. You be the judge...The XM Thing Ticks me off, but I like the Pioneer's sound still.

| trumanii's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P90HDD Car CD/ MP3 Player |
This Stereo Head Unit is Action-Packed, Plays all formats of CD, CD-R, CD-RW and some, IF you will even bother after you Whip Out the XM-Satellite Radio. Fully adjustable audio with every equalizer effect you can stomach, and Every DSP Effect you can think of, with Automated Parametric Equalizer,High-Pass, Low-Pass Built-In applied to Front and Back, Sub-Out Controls Even, Auto-Loudness for varying evironments(cheezy). Picks Up Station Names and Displays, Has Tons of Screensavers that dazzle (not recommended while driving), 3D-Icons that rotate and gyrate, and well sounds dam good w/50W X 4 MOSFET Output, with -3- RCA Highpower Outputs for Da Bass, and AMPERAGE OUTPUT GALORE. It's all this and more but one disheartening thing which really gets my billy. With the cost of this thing, you would think that when I hook up my XM-Receiver into the IP-Bus(Fully Adaptable of Course), your all jazzed about paying $1200 for this stud and not now with the "Satellite Radio" ready to move and then it displays something like, "Emine", or "Bust" or budoop, what is THIS on the display, WHATS UP!! I scream!! For some reason they only stick you with a lousy 8 character display on this Pioneer Head Unit that will not even show you the name of the Station nor Artist Name, just a little blip of partial nonsense. The reasoning is Pioneer forgot to add a SCROLL function to this XM-option which renders this puppy kind of lame if they are to tout something as "XM-Ready". Of course I am a XM Junkie as you can tell. And for the sound quality of it itself "XM" is the EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR DIGITAL SOUND, so I have near forgotten about my 12-Disk CD Changer (Head-Unit Controlled) attached, or my single-play CD-Player in the Unit, spare a Newly Burned MP3 Disc now and then, and what is it... AM-FM...what's that? Yah I let em know (Pionnear)MY FEELINGS ON THE SUBJECT BELIEVE ME! But I guess this is small in comparison to rest of what it has to offer, so I will let go of that now...
But at any rate, this Unit is the Bomb with a Phat Crisp Sound Dude, crank her up and play with your buttons and trip on the Eye Candy (What a minute, Sony has a Full-Color Version Now w/near comparable performance and...Dam!), and get down with the Banging Bass and Freak em OUT With that Gangsta Hop....
