Pros: Wonderful sound, awesome looks
Cons: Different to get used to
The Bottom Line: Out of all of the sets I've checked (Clarion, Sony, Alpine) the Pioneer has a cool facter 10 of 10. When we get down to it.. ain't that enough?

| mkc14's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P9300 Car CD Player |
I grew up with Clarion, Sony, Rockford, Blaupunkt and all of them in its heyday. Back in "my time" Pioneer was nothing more than junk. When I got my Montero Sport the head unit just had to go and I took it to Buzz Off to get the whole thing upgraded. I got MB Quart all around and the sales guy turned me onto this Pioneer. Ooooh, cool display. That’s all I thought about when I told him to throw it in. He also gave me blue light up gas and break pedals and the blue LED lights under the kick panels to "accentuate the blue display and the dolphins swimming on the screen". Ooooooh. I'm telling you what. You can do so much with this head unit its amazing. When I got home I read through the manual and figured out how to set the time and stuff like that. Then I ran across the Auto EQ. Placing a dime sized microphone on my head rest I closed the doors and let it do its thing. A little white noise and bass later it told me it was done. I turned the system on and put it on XM 20 and the sound was absolutely breath taking. I called my girlfriend over and asked her to get in. I cranked it up and even SHE was impressed!! Dude, I hit gold. She loved the blue lights and the dolphins swimming on the screen. I would even go so far as to say it sounds better in my Montero Sport than my parents Mercedes S500. Go figure
