Pros: Incredible sound, great LCD screen, customizable for any type of music.
Cons: Little pricey, hard to set it up while driving.
The Bottom Line: Pay extra $200 for a head unit that you will always enjoy listening to it rather that a normal unit for a cheap price.

| elcreview's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P9400MP Car CD/ MP3 Player |
I bought this head unit after investing some intensive research in the market for an excellent, reliable yet not too expensive HU. Being a big fan of the Pioneer car stereo, I was curious to hear and compare this HU with others at the same (more or less) price range. This is what made me buy this HU.
1) Pioneer sound quality is always distinguishable. Great high, clear mid and strong low
2) SFS, sound field system, one of the most incredible feature that pioneer implemented in this HU. Dome, Hall, Studio, Disco, BBE, Octave. You literally feel that you are in a concert hall when you switch it to this mode.
3)13 band equalizer made it so difficult for anyone not to get a great sound from this HU. Regardless of the type of music you listen to.
4) The Hi-volt RCA Preouts (x3 pair, Front, Rear & Sub) (4V) make the unit even more impressive. If you are still not satisfied with the MOSFET 50W x 4 output, you still can connect the HU to a 3 different Amplifier to match your sound preference.
If you have the money, I would definitely buy this HU. It's worth every penny. Again buying a regular HU might cost you about $200 less than this one, but remember every time you hear and enjoy the sound of this HU, I am pretty sure you will sacrifice the $200 for having it.
