Pros: excellent visual and audio quality, affordable price

Cons: Does not support multi-session discs, slightly imperfect MP3 playback.

The Bottom Line: A solid, well designed model with superior Audio and Visual qualities. At around an affordable $175.00 US it is most definatly a bargain for most home theater systems.
rainbox1250's Full Review: Pioneer DV-440 DVD Player
The Pioneer DV-440 is the perfect example of a solid, reasonably priced DVD player. The picture quality is as one would expect out of a much higher priced model. Audio quality more than lives up to the DVD reputation for enhanced audio. The only drawbacks of this model are its inability to play multi session disks and its somewhat sloppy Mp3 playback (not going past 250 on a CD, only 8 characters for names of songs)which of course dont matter if all you want is to watch a movie with superior picture and audio quality. The pioneer DV-440 is perfect for the typical home DVD user.
