I recently purchased the Apple iPad 2 (16GB) Wi-Fi White Tablet PC, and needed to extend the existing cable that came with it to charge the unit.   


What is it?
Indeed a question, well the Planet Audio Extra Long 6 Foot USB Data Sync Cable is a charging cable that works on all iPod's, iPhones, and iPad Models 2G 3G 3GS that allows you to plug the cable into the unit and charge it via USB.  Since the Apple iPad 2 (16GB) Wi-Fi White Tablet PC came with a charging port that plugs into the wall outlet, I am able to use this 6 cable to charge all my Tablet and iPod a greater distance from the wall.

How it works?
Indeed a simple task, just plug the USB end into the charging port which is connected to the wall or you can charge it off your USB laptop/desktop.  Again you can use this on almost of the newest Mac devices out there.

Inexpensive?
Indeed a budget smart purchase as I paid just over 5 bucks with tax and it is available online or in most electronic stores.  The price makes this purchase well worth it, and the usability of the cord will certainly pay for itself in no time.

Personal Experience
I made the decision to purchase the Extra Long 6 Foot USB Data Sync Cable almost immediately because I knew I would be using my Apple iPad 2 (16GB) Wi-Fi White Tablet PC on my couch and wanted the ability to plug it and charge it if need be, but the salesperson explained the unit did not come with that long of a cord. 

Recommendation
Because the data sync cable works with several of my devices I just leave it plugged in and have a table setup where I can charge all my iPod Nano 6th Generation 16GB MP3 Player & Apple iPad 2 (16GB) Wi-Fi White Tablet PC with greater ease because of the extended length.  I can easily recommend anyone looking to have several Apple devices purchase the extended the data cable, it will come in handy!
