I buy new fishing tackle every time I get a chance. Lately I have been buying up all sorts of new lures and fishing gear. I have not went on a fishing gear buying spree for quite some time. I love spending time in the sporting goods section of the PX (Post Exchange). Over the years their selection has become pretty decent. On top of that, soldiers do not pay taxes on things bought at the PX. This is the only reason that I could come up with to explain to my wife why I am buying all this new fish gear, Come on buttercup. I dont have to pay taxes if I shop up here. At any rate, With all this new fishing gear, I needed a new tackle box as well. I looked at quite a few tackle boxes. I needed a fairly large tackle box, because I have all sorts of gear that I use when I am fishing for Rainbow Trout. My Tackle box at home has all of my gear packed into it. Now I will be able to separate my Bass tackle from my Rainbow tackle.
Ill end up buying another Plano tackle box for my Bass fishing gear. I really like the Plano over and under tackle box - 1258. This tackle box can hold a whole lot of fishing gear and additional supplies. I can keep most of my tackle in the top compartments. You can configure the box to suit your needs. The tackle box comes with removable separators. You can add, adjust or remove the separators to fit every lure. I use the bottom of my tackle box to put my larger items. I also keep my personal gear in there while I am wading around in some river. If you have additional tackle, it can also be placed in this very large compartment. Then on one side of the bottom of the box it is set up for hooks and liters. The hooks can be stored on some handy little racks which are in there just for this purpose.
Here are some of the items that I keep in my tackle box or take fishing when I go

My final Thoughts On The Plano Tackle Box
The best thing about the Plano tackle box is its capacity to hold a lot of fishing tackle. The tackle box measures 18 inches wide by 12 inches across. It is 9 inches deep, the top compartment is 3 inches deep and the bottom is 6 inches deep. Needless to say, you can hold a lot of gear. I also enjoy the way the box is designed. I am able to unlatch the top tackle compartment from one side of the bottom. Then, I just open up the bottom without having to unlatch the top compartment at all. This is a handy feature. I remember with some of the older tackle boxes having layers inside that I had to pull out in order to get to my gear in the bottom. I also like being able to set my tackle box up just like I want it. The removable separators are a good idea. The Plano is built very solid with quality locking mechanisms and a quality hard plastic carrying handle. It also features a hard clear blue plastic cover on the top of the tackle box so you can see your tackle through the top. I give this tackle box four of five stars. Go fishing, its a blast! Always have you fishing license and check your state fishing regulations.
Thanks for the read,
