Pros: Fine sound quality; easy to change the volume quickly; comfortable.
Cons: After 18 months of use, wiring eventually worked loose.
The Bottom Line: A fine headset if you can find it at a good price. Treat it with care and it should last quite a while. Recommended.

| java007's Full Review: Plantronics Starset Headset & Vista Amp Includes 1... |
I've used a few other stereo headsets, and so far this has been the best. The sound quality is excellent for music, voice chats, gaming, etc. The headset has a study feel, but remains comfortable and not too heavy. The connecting line is long enough to allow the user to sit quite a distance from the computer (maybe 5-6 feet) and still relax and wear the headset. The microphone has also worked quite well and is non-obtrusive both during use and when swiveled up during non-use. The only drawback is that we have gone through two sets and both have had the wiring issues after considerable use. The first set was replaced under the 1 year warranty without a hassle; the second is out of warranty. To be fair, other headsets including a couple from LabTech have also suffered the same fate and in less time than the Plantronics took to fail. I would definitely consider this or a new Plantronics model when evaluating options.
