Pros: Above par sound quality for music, battery life, transmitter included
Cons: Mr. Blinky light, some audio lag
The Bottom Line: A few minor gripes are overcome by a well built and convenient product. Great headset for those who need a do-it-all bluetooth unit.

| mooresites's Full Review: Plantronics Pulsar 590A Bluetooth Stereo Headset [... |
Everyone knows the promise of Bluetooth headphones: cut the cord and walk freely around the house. Well, put simply, these headphones do just that. Here's where the expectations come into play.
For me, I love good quality audio from the music I listen to. That's why I bought higher end in-ear headphones for that. These Plantronics were bought with the intention of listening to TV from bed (so as not to wake my wife) and place some calls from time to time.
I expected, going in, to get average sound quality and was pleasantly surprised to get a well rounded sound. I even listen to audio from time to time while in a quiet room and can enjoy the quality.
Phone calls are on par with any bluetooth headset I've used. 9 out of 10 times it works fine, then there are dropped call that one time. I'm fine with that - just reconnect and I'm good.
Connections from this set with it's base unit and phones is very good. Connections are completed within 5 seconds easy each time.
I use the included transmitter with my TV in my bedroom (use the audio out from TV to transmitter). Since the headset has a built in amplifier, the volume is controlled from the earpiece. Sound is more than ample.
These headphones are also as comfortable as I'd hoped. They aren't to tight, but give a snug, easy fit.
Battery life is very good. I leave the phones off for weeks at a time and they're ready to go. The included charger is very convenient and well engineered.
Now to the not-so-great
Audio sync has been an issue with every bluetooth item I've used. You don't notice it with phones and music, but video is a different story. In most cases, this unit is about 1/4 second off with audio, so it's not a big issue. There is the occasional longer lag that can cause frustration, but I'm able to overlook it for the convenience (some can't, thus this review!). I use the unit from about 15 feet away (FYI).
Blue Blink from Hades - I understand a blue light for acknowledging a connection, but the whole right side of the unit blinks every 5 seconds and it is VERY ANNOYING! I end up covering my ear with a blanket so it won't reflect in my glasses. Again, I can live with it, but hopefully newer releases correct this.
Also, let's just say I won't be wearing these in public. They're attractive in a geeky kind of way, but are not at all the fashion statement.
