Intro

It is not very often that I use just deodorant alone because I prefer to use Antiperspirant/Deodorant because I tend to sweat a lot. One day I had ran out of my regular deodorant and my mother showed me this – Secret Platinum Protection Antiperspirant/Deodorant Soft Solid Powder Fresh - and I have been very pleased with the level of odor protection.

My Experience

I have used the Secret brand since about 1994. I started using the roll-on then progressed to regular solid and now I used the soft solid, which I prefer. I have noticed that the wetness protection does not last for the full 24 hours as advertised. The wetness protection varies depending on my activities for the day, whether I am working (7 to 8 hours), relaxing (12 to 15 hours), or doing vigorous activities (3 to 6 hours).

What I like about Secret Platinum

I like that it has a baby powder smell. I also like that the deodorant part lasts for the amount of time I am at work which is usually 8 to 10 hours, usually longer.

What I do not like about Secret Platinum

I do not like that it claims to have 24 hour wetness protection. I have yet to see that. I do not have to keep applying it throughout the day but the antiperspirant does not last like I thought it would.

Yes, I would recommend Secret Platinum Protection Antiperspirant/Deodorant Soft Solid Powder Fresh since it works much better than the other antiperspirant/deodorants that I have used.

Final Thoughts

Secret Platinum Protection works much better than the solids or roll-ons I have used before, such as Degree and Secret regular solid and roll-on. Aside from the wetness protection not lasting as long as I thought it would, I feel that this is a very good antiperspirant/deodorant.

Drug Facts on Secret Platinum Protection Antiperspirant/Deodorant Soft Solid Powder Fresh

The active ingredient is Aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex GLY which composes 19% of the total make up of this product. It is an antiperspirant. The other ingredients include cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, tribehenin, c18-36 acid triglyceride, and fragrance.
