I love Play Doh. Its a great product, that the kids can spend hours with. The one drawback is that it gets all over the floor and can be a real mess. I've solved this problem by letting the kids play with it in the basement. I've found that once it dries on the concrete floor, it sweeps up easily. You just have to ignore the mess for a day or two.
If you buy Play Doh, you should really get your kids one of the toys that go with it. Mine really like the press that squirts out the different shapes. They then use these shapes to make all kinds of things. Another popular set is the ice cream shop. It comes with molds and presses to make all kinds of "ice cream" treats. They seem to need the little push from the sets to get their creativity going. You also have to replace the Play Doh periodically, as it gets hard to work with once it starts to get a little dry. It is too stiff for little hands. I never minded replacing it because I could get it on sale for 1.99. There are not many toys that cost 1.99 and give hours of play.
