| sharmck's Full Review: Playskool 1-2-3 High Chair |
I purchased this wonderful highchair when I was pregnant with my second child.
I did some research and really liked what features the Playskool 1 2 3
chair had to offer. It also had a decent price.
Some of its features include:
The three-position reclining seat.
One position sits completely upright for toddlers,
the second leans back slightly for older infants who aren't ready for sitting up completely on their own yet,
the third position is for a newborn and reclines completely.
The one handed removal of the tray.
I love this feature since I usually had the baby in my one arm while I was trying to take the tray off with the other hand
It works very smoothly and easily.
The easy to remove chair pad that allow for a complete cleaning and helps to keep your chair in new condition.
It has a product called microban covering the tray that keeps bacteria from growing and spreading into the foods that touch the tray. Not sure how it works but it can't hurt.
The thick bar between the baby's legs that keeps them from slipping down. It can be removed when the child
is older.
The groves around the tray that catch all the spills and
excess food so that they never make it to your floor.
Very sturdy. My toddlers sometimes tries to hang on the side of it while playing and I never need to worry about it tipping over.
Its is big which is one drawback if you don't have much space but the size of it makes it very sturdy and less able to tip.
It does fold up for travel, or if you need to slide it next to the refrigerator for storage, but again you need a bigger space to store it.
The high sides on the tray also make it a little more difficult (but not impossible) for the baby to push their bowl off of it.
The chair also offers 6 different height positions so that it can adjust to what ever height you need it to be.
A wonderful feature for when you need the chair to be higher or lower depending on table height.
Because of all of these features you can use this seat from newborn age up until the child reaches 50 pounds.
So it has a long life, which makes it really worth the money.
I have been using the Playskool 123 highchair through 2 children now. It still looks brand new except for a few stains on the non removable lap belt.
It has held up wonderfully and is a really sturdy, well made highchair.
There is even a bib or wash cloth holder in the back of the seat which comes in handy for a Mom.
This is the only highchair you will ever need for your baby. It will last for years and years and make feeding time a breeze.
