| shantel575's Full Review: Playskool 1-2-3 High Chair |
I love the Playskool 1-2-3 highchair! A friend of mine has one, and when I got pregnant with my first baby, I registered for the exact same one and requested it by name. And I am so glad I did!
Features
POSITIONING: I love that it converts to different positions, so it's adaptable for infants up to toddlers. The actual seat part will recline or sit up. And it has height adjustments too, so when baby is a toddler, you can lower it to a level he can get in by himself! This chair is simple to adjust. There are notches and grooves that you simply move the parts to the one you want to adjust them to, and this adjusts the position or the height of the chair.
MOVING IT AROUND: This highchair is also on wheels which allows for easy movement while baby is in or out of the seat. It will roll anywhere you want to move it, and it even rolls easily on carpeted surfaces.
BIB STORAGE: On the back of the chair there is a holder for you to place bibs or whatever else you may want to store in it. This is a nice convenience and also frees up more space in the nursery.
TRAY: And I also love the method Playskool designed for removing the tray! I hated those old ones with the springs on the side. This one is so easy! It has a "handle" on the bottom of the tray in the front, and you just grip it and push it upwards, and the tray slides right off.
I Love the tray's features. It's antibacterial (which is MAJOR important to me). It's made with a material called Microban, which is the antibacterial substance. And it's not like those acrylic, or shiny plastic tops that scratches and stains so badly. Anything you get on there comes right off by just wiping it with a wet papertowel. Even stuff like spaghetti sauce! It also has sides to it and grooved edges to catch food and prevent it from getting all over the floor.
SEAT: The inside of the seat is covered with an easy to clean vinyl. You simply wipe it off with a wet cloth and you are done. These highchairs do come with different patterns/designs on the vinyl too, so you can choose.
CONVERTING: My son is now a toddler, and it converts to a chair that reaches the table, instead of buying a separate booster seat. And this one still keeps him strapped in! This is nice because I don't have to spend the extra money for another seat for him, and with the safety straps, I don't have to worry about him climbing, or falling out of the seat.
This highchair can be purchased at any baby supply store or your usual Wal-Mart or Target type stores. I ordered mine through JC Penney catalog, so I am sure they still carry them. It is a little pricey maybe compared to the "cheapies", but WELL worth it. I believe mine was close to $80. But I would definitely buy it again.
If you are expecting, and need a highchair, this is the best one out there! You will love the Playskool 1-2-3 Highchair! I love mine and I highly recommend it! After 18 months of use, it still looks good as new!
Thanks for reading! :-)
