One of my 2.5 year old son's favorite television shows is none other than Bob the Builder, which currently airs weekdays on nickjr at 12:30PM EST. Before the Christmas holidays rolled around last year, I told many of our family members that any of the Bob the Builder toys would make a great present if they were looking for good gift ideas. So, sure enough, Tristan received this Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy the Talking Truck along with a few of her machine friends. Small in size and programmed to speak four different sayings from the popular preschool television show, this charming cement mixer made a great addition to my son's quickly growing Bob the Builder collection. Read on to find out more about this inexpensive yet entertaining toy.

Primarily orange in color with black trim and not at all yellow as pictured by Epinions above, the Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy Talking Truck is recommended for children ages 2 to 8 years. According to product advertising: Dizzy is a young and lovable cement mixer barrel and is always in motion! With a spin of her mixer she can help finish the biggest jobs - after all, mixing things up is what she does best! Measuring approximately 4 inches long and 3.5 inches high, Dizzy the talking cement mixer has four wheels that rolls backward and forward and is perfectly sized to be played with along side other Bob the Builder playsets. Also featuring a moving barrel that makes a 360 degree turn with the attached steering wheel located at the back of the truck, this friend of Bob the Builder has a cute face and is just one of six talking vehicles that children can collect. Requiring 3 "button cell" batteries (which DO come included, by the way!), Dizzy speaks four different phrases when the small button on her cement mixer barrel is pushed: "Brilliant!" "Ha, ha, ha!" "I can mix it!" and "Can I help?" So while she's small in size and speaks only a limited number of phrases, this Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy the Talking Truck is still a preschool toy that has lots to offer, especially for young Bob the Builder fans obsessed with the animated show.

Tristan also owns several other Bob the Builder toys, including the Adventure Bob, an Adventure Scoop, a Talking Muck, and a LEGO Duplo set, so this Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy the Talking Truck fits right in with all of his other toys. We are still going strong with the original batteries that came included as Dizzy says her four phrases quite frequently during play. Even though there is no "on-off" switch, Dizzy's energetic voice isn't super loud and thankfully each phrase is very short in duration. The button located on her cement mixer barrel must be pushed every time to activate one phrase in no particular order. Preschoolers like mine have no problem finding the button and pushing it, and this Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy the Talking Truck fits perfectly inside his hands as she's neither too large nor too small.

Young Bob the Builder fans are sure to enjoy this Playskool Bob the Builder: Dizzy the Talking Truck, so pick one up as a special gift the next time you are shopping in the toy department of your favorite store. This orange colored cement mixer has her own unique charm and has no problem "mixing things up" along side her other colorful machine pals during play. Her wheels really roll back and forth while she repeats four separate phrases from the popular preschool television program. My son enjoys playing with "Daisy", as he calls her, and barely let me hold her long enough to retrieve all the details needed to actually write this review! So from our experience, it's easy for me to highly recommend this Playskool Bob the Builder: Talking Dizzy the Truck as an interesting yet inexpensive gift for any young Bob the Builder fan of either gender.
