Last June, 2002, my youngest son Tristan received this Playskool Bob the Builder: "Tunnel Rescue" Adventure Bob with Action Chainsaw along with the Bob the Builder Counting Hammer from his aunt for his second birthday. At the time, he had no clue just who Bob the Builder was, so Tristan really wasn't interested in his new toys. But over the next few months, he discovered the Bob the Builder children's television program that currently airs at 9:30AM EST weekdays on NickJr and now watches frequently with much enthusiasm. So now he plays with his Bob action figure and Bob's saw as he call's it more often. I've told most of the family what kind of gifts Tristan would like for Christmas, so I have a feeling his Bob the Builder collection will steadily grow in the weeks to come.
~~~The Toy~~~
Recommended for young Bob the Builder fans ages 3 to 8 years, this Playskool Bob the Builder: "Tunnel Rescue" Adventure Bob with Action Chainsaw includes two separate pieces: Bob the Builder himself and his pull action chainsaw. According to advertising found at etoys.com: Adventure Bob to the rescue. A terrible storm has caused a tree to topple in front of a tunnel, trapping Muck inside. With his trusty chainsaw, Bob cuts the tree down to size so it can be cleared from the tunnel and Muck can get rolling again. Measuring approximately 6 inches tall, Bob's arms manually move up and down and his clear plastic safety visor can be moved up and down as well. Bob is wearing his trademark yellow hat, and his posing action figure is dressed in brown coat, blue jeans, and brown safety boots easily stands upright. The yellow chainsaw features a red pull string that activates the vibrating silver blade section for more realistic play. Look for this action figure where ever Bob the Builder toys are sold, along with his friends, such as Wendy, Roley, Scoop, Dizzy, and Muck. So far Tristan doesn't own any of the machines, so Bob can't rescue them....yet! But we'll have this Playskool Bob the Builder: "Tunnel Rescue" Adventure Bob with Action Chainsaw ready just in case he receives any of his friends for Christmas.

Inspire the imagination in your young Bob the Builder fan by inexpensively picking up this Playskool Bob the Builder: "Tunnel Rescue" Adventure Bob with Action Chainsaw along with a few of his friends for even more realistic play. Children hold onto the yellow saw by the black handle and pull the string to activate the blade, causing it to vibrate and produce a "sawing" sound. And no batteries are even required! The arms on posing Bob can easily be moved up and down during play, and his safety shield covering his face moves back and forth as well. When not in use, Bob would make a great decoration on a shelf, especially in a room decorated in the Bob the Builder theme.
