Decent toy, but features aren't worth the price.

Pros: Ease of transfer from one place to another, and safety feature.
Cons: Doesn't do much!
The Bottom Line: The features it has are not really accessible to a very young baby. Not designed well for it's intended age group.

| mmy23's Full Review: Playskool Fold 'n Go Kick Start Gym |
I purchased the Fold 'N' Go Kick start Gym for my son at about 3 months. He was fascinated for about 5 minutes. It has sat in his closet ever since. I have purchased a lot of baby items I later felt weren't worth the money, and this one is at the top of the list. There are three lights at the top of this toy, and two plastic birds that hang down. The toy plays music and the lights flash when the pad on the bottom of the toy is kicked, but it seems to take more strength than a newborn has to activate any of these features. There is a setting that you can use to make the music and lights stay on for a few minutes, but that seems to defeat the purpose of the toy. The plastic birds can only be reached by a baby who is old enough to sit up, and therefore too old to really need a kick-activated toy. My point is that I think Playskool should have tested more extensively before putting this toy on the market. It really isn't designed very well for it's intended age group. One positive thing I can say about this product is that I like the safety feature in the base that keeps it from toppling over on the child. The legs will only fold backward, and then only if both of the release buttons are pushed at once.
