Need a little assistance? I speak from experience here, I use these pads daily, (yes I'm 28 and I use them almost daily :~) I think they are a lifesaver.....
Recommend this product?
I don't use these pads personally on me. (Not yet anyway, Thank God) But I take care of an elderly woman with Alzhiemers and it's gotten to the point that she forgets to go to the bathroom. She starts to go before she realizes she has to go. That is why I swear by these pads. When they say super absorbency, they really mean what they say.
I would say that one pad can hold anywhere from 12 - 16 ounces of "water". I know this because I actually wasted a pad by measuring to see how much it would actually hold. I tested this because when I change this woman, I am amazed at how heavy the wet pad actually is. I wonder where this comes from when she refuses to drink fluids regularly. So you can believe it, these pads will hold that much.
I don't see how it can be that comfortable, when they are that wet, and I certainly don't suggest letting it get to that point. But I wanted to be able to tell you how much these pads will hold. I will tell you though, don't be shocked if they leak at this point. That's a lot for a pad to take. I don't think there's a better product out there.
The pad is not bulky, it's actually quite thin, which makes it all the more hard to believe that it holds as much as it does. Yes, it does tend to get bulkier the wetter it gets, but for the most part, I tend to think it's decent size pad. If I had to wear this type of thing, I would choose the Poise pads.
I don't know what I would do without them everyday. When taking care of someone like I do, they can be a big help. I'm sure that even for the elderly that don't realize anything, or for the ones who still have a sense of dignity, these poise pads can allow them to have a little bit of that dignity that they deserve. Just because someone is elderly doesn't mean they should be robbed of their dignity. The poise ultra absorbent pads help in a big way. They truly do save on the furniture, and save on having to change her clothes often.
If you take care of someone who is incontinent, or if you have even the slightest problem with incontinence I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Poise Extra Absorbency Pads.
They are well worth the money, and that money isn't much. The cost is very reasonable, about $4.99 for a small package, and approximately $15.00 for the largest package. Baby diapers cost MORE and you get LESS. Poise is the way to go.
