Pros:-Durable
-Water resistance
-Easy to learn and use
-Great warranty from company
-Good customer service
Cons:-Doesn't look like a $100 watch, but it performs like one!
The Bottom Line: Buy an F6 if you want a solid HRM for tracking your overall fitness goals. Don't get it if you need more complex functions for things like triathlon
I've had this HRM for over 6 months and it has a ton of features. I have never had a problem with crosstalk, as the chest strap is coded. It is a great overall fitness HRM and the chest strap that comes with it can be used with many other Polar products. I use the F6 for running heart rate functions along with a Garmin Forerunner for pace/distance data. I also use the chest strap from the F6 along with the Polar CS100 cycling computer for speed/cadence bike data. Polar makes about a million different specific products for all sports, but the F6 is a great overall HRM for the money.
Things I love:
-You can use it in the pool for swimming
-Chest strap works with Polar's CS100 bike computer and some other products
-Add a Garmin Forerunner 201 ($125) and a Polar CS100 Bike Computer ($75) and you can upgrade to essentially have all the features of the Polar S625x for less money (I got the F6 before the S625x came out, so now you can make up for that fact, using what you already have without spending more money on a totally new HRM)
-It logs your weekly totals and reminds you to look at them
-It is extremely durable
-Polar has good customer service
Things I Dislike:
-None really, it has all the basic HRM functions and is great for any range of ability
-Not the best HRM for triathletes unless you get other Polar products to combine important functions (bike speed, cadence, running pace/distance) But, the F6 is not designed for that anyway, so for most it won't be an issue
-Chest strap is not compatible with their newest Cycling/Triathlon watch, the S625.
