| polaris474's Full Review: Polaris 65 Pool Cleaner |
Our 65 came in a package deal and at first I was not impressed. As we became more informed by reading the instructions and using it, we found it to do a nice job.
The 65 gets energy from your pump/filter and naturally you want to keep that system working well. There is a filter in the hose connection where water comes from your pump/filter. This small mesh filter is quite efficient and must be cleaned periodically. We simply unhook the hose at the quick disconnect, pull out the filter, and use the garden hose to back flush out the lint and such.
We check the collection basket assembly often as the swivel has stuck at an angle but is easily freed by pulling the slots onto the studs.
Our 65 is almost two years old and where we live it gets year around use. The newer models may have improvements and sturdier trailing hoses which over time can develop slits.
