Complete Garbage

BUYER BEWARE! Buy a Polaroid TV and you'll be in for a major headache down the road. I bought our 42" TLX 0424OB at Walmart the day after Thanksgiving. Fast forward to 6 months later.
The screen goes black after only 5 minutes of turning the set on. The only way to get the picture back is to turn off the TV and turn it back on again. Also, instead of a large screen the Picture in Picture screen will appear instead.
The repair for the TV is third party contracted through Sears. The first repair call Polaroid gave the repairman the wrong address. He called our house, we gave him the correct address and still after waiting 9 hours he never showed up. He is apparently the ONLY repairman that Sears has for Manhattan. So, after a furious phone call another repair date was scheduled.
The second repair call the repairman installed the replacement mother board that Polaroid sent via Fed-Ex. This replacement board did the same thing, shut off the picture after only being on for 5 minutes.
Polaroid is now sending another mother board and I have to set up another repair call costing me now 3 days lost pay.
Trust me, this set is not built to last more than a year or two. It's like flushing 800 bucks down the toilet.
The repairman admitted he sees at least one Polaroid TV PER DAY and they're having a lot of problems with them. When I called the customer service rep he knew immediately about this problem and offered to send a new mother board out right away. Polaroid knows these TV's are garbage. The problem is they're not doing anything about it. Since it is past the 90 days to return the set to Walmart I asked for a refund from Polaroid but "they are not offering this option at this time".
