I bought the Polaroid 42 inch LCD tv on Black Friday at Walmart with the extra warranty. Based on research after the fact, this seems like a risky purchase. I have seen many horror stories with cars, electronics and the like. I had a 1985 S-15 that was also "poor" quality. It is still running like a champ. I hope this TV is the same. Excellent picture quality that beats the Toshiba 720P tvs here at work. No problem yet after 9 months of daily use switching between VGA, HDMI, and component inputs. I utilize it as a monitor only. I have it on a surge protector and an UPS as I do all of my important items living in the stormy south!!
