southernmommy's Full Review: Polaroid i533 Digital Camera
I bought this Polaroid digital camera less than a month ago. It worked for two weeks. I used the camera for 2 weeks without a problem. The quality wasn't great, even compared to another camera exactly like it. (Same make and model.) But, it was okay for a $70 camera. Then, suddenly one day the camera broke. After taking a few pictures I turned the camera off. The camera was in my hand for a few minutes. When I turned it back on the screen had a black spot on it. It will still take pictures but you cannot see anything on the screen. Nothing touched the camera at all. It was sunny and only about 78 degrees outside so the weather had nothing to do with it. There was no reason at all for the camera to break.
This is where I ran into problems with the manufacturer. I called Polaroid and the accused me of hitting it with something or "applying pressure" to the screen in some way. As I said, the camera was in my hand, it did not touch ANYTHING. It never left my hand. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the same thing. They would not do anything. They said it wasn't covered by warranty because only manufacturing problems are covered. After talking to three different people including management I found that Polaroid doesn't believe in customer service. Basically, anything that happens after your initial use the camera isn't covered. I would not recommend buying anything from Polaroid. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on.
