Pros: Light Weight Small Size Great Quality Photos Large LCD 10MP Optical Zoom Great Price
Cons: Long Flash Warm-up No Alternate Power Poor Video Quality Substandard Microphone
The Bottom Line: I would recomend the Polaroid i1035 for people only interested in a small high power camera that is easy to use. It should not be bought for video capture.

My husband purchased me the Polaroid i1035 for mother's day after years of me complaining about our Canon PowerShot S2 IS. Don't get me wrong I think my Canon is awesome, but the bloody thing is HUGE, and having to lug it around every were is annoying. I told my husband I wanted something I could carry in my purse so I always had it handy. He bought the Polaroid i1035. It is not as small as I would have liked but it does fit in my purse and the weight is negligible.
The Polaroid i1035 has 10MP of picture taking power which I don't think any of the smaller cameras had, let alone for less than $100. It has 3x optical zoom which does come in handy, of course more would be better but then I would be lugging around my Canon. The picture quality of the Polaroid i1035 is even better than I expected from 10MP. The Polaroid i1035 is a great camera for throwing in your purse and getting great shots of the family or any other amateur shots.
The Polaroid i1035's large screen is a GODSEND! 3 inches for showing off your photos before they are printed. I hate view finders and with Polaroid i1035's 3 inch screen who needs one?? You will know exactly how the picture will look before you take it! First thing out of the box put on a screen protector!! The Polaroid i1035's screen shows a box as you take the picture and when it turns green that means good picture! How simple can you get?? I use mine on the automatic setting and just click away, but the Polaroid i1035 has loads of features. This is where I apologize because I am not at all familiar with any of them because I just wanted a simple camera for candid shots. Some of the features I have played with are, taking black and white photos (which my Canon won't do) and the macro setting. The macro setting of the Polaroid i1035 is quite good. Taking pictures for eBay or cataloging will be a breeze, and if you can't get close enough just stick the picture on the computer and zoom and crop. With Polaroid i1035's 10MP it will still look great!
That all being said I know you want to know about what I didn't like. The Polaroid i1035 takes forever to warm up it's flash. Not bothering to use the flash when you don't have to will save you tons of time and possibly get you the good shot. So it is lucky there is the ability to shut it off. The Polaroid i1035 eats batteries like my 2 year old with a Pez dispenser, this includes Lithium Ion. This is in part due to the fact there is no optional power supply, so when you sync it to your computer it has to be turned on, eating precious batteries. This leads to the problem of having to put fresh batteries in before you sync or else the Polaroid i1035 will shut off mid transfer and you will have to start again. This can be remedied by using a SD card reader. Simply pop the SD card out of the Polaroid i1035 and into your computer or attached card reader and transfer pictures all day long. Be warned however of the dreaded HC cards, these are SD cards that are over 2 gigabytes labeled High Capacity. Look for the little HC below the size label. These cards will work in the Polaroid i1035, but they may not work with your computer's card reader. This causes you to have to plug in your Polaroid i1035 every time, and thus faster battery consumption.
Next I would like to address the video capture feature. It is a waist don't use it... While the Polaroid i1035 has 10MP ability, it does not utilize it for video capture. The resulting videos are grainy and can only be viewed on small scale. The microphone on the Polaroid i1035 is substandard, any videos you do take with sound will be distorted and crackled. I thought perhaps I had a defective unit so I searched the Internet and found this to be a very common problem.
All in all the Polaroid i1035 is a great camera, for taking pictures. If you want a good video/camera you might want to keep looking. Going with a maximum 2Gb SD card to avoid having the whole camera hooked to your computer and turning the flash off when you can will greatly extend the life of the batteries. Good Luck with your future purchase! I hope I helped!
