Even though Jordan doesn't care for Pooh and his friends anymore, she loves Bounce Around Tigger. Jordan only plays with it every few weeks, but when she does take it out her toy box, she plays with it nonstop for hours. Bounce Around Tigger is one toy she won't let me take to a resale shop, to make room for her new toys for her upcoming 4th birthday and Christmas. Even her friends who come over for bi-weekly playdates love Bounce Around Tigger, but my 2 cats, run away every time they see Tigger bouncing around the floors.

The wonderful thing about Tigger

Tigger stands about 13 inches tall, with his bright black and orange strips. Tiggers eyebrows are stitched on, and his beady eyes are attached securely. So I don't see anything that should pose a choking hazard to kids. Bounce Around Tigger, is one cute bouncing around fella, but you don't want to give him a hug to tight, he is not to soft. His head, half of his tail, and arms are the only soft plush parts, while his feet and body is made of hard plastic underneath and holds the battery pack and mechanisms that make Tigger bounce for joy whenever you push on his head.

To see what Tiggers do best, stand Tigger up and push down to see him bounce. The bottom of Bounce Around Tigger feet are hard (with plastic on the bottom), so he does stand up on his own. It might be harder for younger kids to get Tigger jumping, sometimes you have to really push down on Tiggers head to get him bouncing. Once Tigger starts bouncing (lasts about 5 seconds), he says, "I'm gonna bounce" and "Bouncing is what Tiggers do best". Tigger doesn't say much, but kids will love Bounce Around Tigger anyway. Most the time Bounce Around Tigger stays standing up when he is bouncing, but he has fallen down a few times (he must have been bouncing to hard).

Bounce Around Tigger takes 3 AA batteries. The battery is in Tiggers body, secured with a screw, you will need a screwdriver to put in new batteries. The battery life is great, in the two years Jordan has had Tigger, we just had to change the batteries. Tigger was kind of slow at starting to bounce around, so I changed his batteries and he is back to bouncing around. There is also an on/off switch on the battery pack. I wish there was also a volume control, Tigger can be startling to infants when bouncing around. I know Jordan was a little scared of Tigger the first few times I pushed on his head and she was 2 1/2 years old when she got Bounce Around Tigger. Since Tiger is not all plush, you can't machine wash him. He can be easily cleaned up with a damp cloth.

Tigger bounces, Jordan bounces, everyone bounces

Jordan loves to bounce around the apartment, so it was only fitting I bought her Bounce Around Tigger so she would have someone to bounce around with. Every time she bounces around the apartment, she says "I'm not Jordan, I'm Tigger". As I said above, at first she was scared of Tigger, he is kind of noisy. Now I can't get her away from Bounce Around Tigger. She has a few friends who come over for playdates and boy is it fun and noisy watching 3 toddlers bounce around the apartment pretending to be T-I-Double G-E-R. Jordan even wanted to be Tigger this Halloween, and yes she did bounce down the street a few times. It was so cute!

Unlike Wigglin' For Honey Pooh this is a toy your kids will want to play with for years to come. Bounce Around Tigger usually sells for $19.99 at most Toy stores, I bought mine for $10.00 resale at a kids resale shop in my area. Either way, Bounce Around Tigger was a great buy. I'm even keeping it for my new baby on the way. It says Bounce Around Tigger on the box recommended for 18 months old and up, but I would wait till 2 years old. Since Tigger is mostly made of hard plastic, and dressed in his trademark orange and black stripes, little ones can get hurt easily. This is one toy you do not want to throw around or get hit by. Bounce Around Tigger is durable, Jordan got it over 2 years ago, and he still looks new.
