Pros: price was right
Cons: hard to snap together / hard to open
I am really disappointed with the Winnie-the-Pooh Honey Pot Fun Carry Around Playset. Winnie the Pooh products are usually the best. My kids are totally in love with anything that has to do with Winnie the Pooh so this product has to be just as good as all the rest.
I was wrong. My two little girls received this as a gift from Santa for Christmas. They also received the other sets that go along with it (Swimmin' Hole Playset, Play 'N Carry Treehouse, and Picnic with Pooh Playset.)
When they opened the gift they were really excited about it. I had to take it and put it back by the tree to get them to open up all the rest of the gifts. They were excited because of course it was Winnie the Pooh.
They continued to ask me to take it out of the box several times. Finally, I decided to open it so they could play with it. After I put it together, I found that it was hard to snap together and then hard to open it. I went ahead and gave it to them and they played with it for about ten minutes. Ten minutes was long enough to find out they didn't like it.
They left it to go play with the other toys they received for Christmas. I asked my oldest daughter why she wasn't playing with the pooh honey pot play set and her response shocked me. She said that "it wasn't fun." She also said "she didn't like it, and to tell Santa, maybe he can bring her something else."
What do you tell a little girl who is upset with Santa that he didn't bring her a fun toy. I had to think fast but told her that Santa is an old guy and for an old guy he thought it was fun. I told her I would have to make a special call to Santa at the North Pole and see if he can send a new gift to her.
Thank goodness I can tell her it's his fault for now. Later in life it wont matter. There is one person in our house who seems to somewhat like the Pooh Honey Pot Fun Carry-Around Playset. The dog seems to like it, little Pooh and Piglet are fun chew toys.
