I can remember when this product was first introduced on television and my husband's eyes glazing over. He couldn't wait to buy one. He waited as long as he could and the price did come down a little and a Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse became an addition to his tool and equipment collection.

Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse
The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse is simply a portable workstation with a clamping system. It is a great tool for someone working alone and doesn't have a second set of hands to hold down and apply pressure when needed. The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse does the job for you, allowing you to continue on with your project.
The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse is designed on three legs, a tripod, making balancing the equipment an easy task no matter what kind of surface it is placed on. The legs are made of steel construction and the unit weighs around 50 pounds.
The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse is operated by a foot petal that allows you to open, tighten and close the jaws with your foot, leaving hands free to carry on with the job at hand. The jaws can expand up to 37 inches wides and provide up to 2,200 pounds of pressure. That's pretty amazing! Each jaw is covered with a rubberized padding that keeps surfaces from getting scratched or dented.
The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse can be used to mount various saws or by clamping the materials you are cutting into the jaws. The equipment is versatile, portable and makes doing one-man jobs not only quicker but easier.
My Thoughts on the Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse
It turned out that I ended up loving this new piece of equipment as much as my husband. It eliminated the need for me to hold on to a board while he makes a cut. He is always doing projects around the house and has his saw and Jawhorse out often now. He doesn't have to wait for me to have free time or request my help. Yay!
My husband has been using his Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse for over a year now and has had no problems with it at all. He mainly uses it for cutting boards, plywood and for sharpening the lawnmower blade.
The Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse is rather expensive. It originally went on the market for $199.99. We purchased it for $179.00 and have found it to be a very useful piece of equipment.
I would recommend the Rockwell #RK9000 Jawhorse to anyone who does a lot of home repair projects around the house and has a need for a second set of hands. It is a useful piece of equipment for the serious handyman!
