Pros: Cheap, nice paint job, comes with a case.
Cons: Hard to start and keep running. Otherwise perfect.
I have used several chain saws, and I bought a new Poulan "Wild Thing" hoping that it would be an improvement over the old saw I had which was at least 25 years old. Boy, was I in for a disappointment. The saw is very hard to start. After following the instructions- pressing the primer bulb 6 times, pull out the choke, pull rope 5 times, push choke in 1/2 way, pull rope again- the saw rarely starts. This is because the starter rope assembly is not well made and it is very difficult to get a full pull on the rope. Also, after running a while, the saw won't start again. If you can get it started, it cuts pretty well, but it is just not reliable. If you like to spend time fooling around with a saw instead of getting your wood cut, this is the saw for you. I intend to sell mine very cheap to someone who like to "tinker". I'll buy a better saw next time- Stihl or Huskuavarna.
