I'm not a fast swinging golfer, my drives typically are around 220 yards, so I make no false claims to distance. After decades of golf, my handicap still makes me an honest bogey golfer. (19.6) I first came upon these balls when they were just the Precept Laddie. I played them then and liked them. I have tried almost every maker of lower compression balls and I seem to keep coming back to the Laddie Xtreme. When it comes to premium golf balls like the ProV1 and such, most of us are simply spending money on a name brand that cannot help our game because we never generate enough club head speed to take advantage of the technology in that big buck ball.

Last weekend, I reached into my bag after clipping one out of bounds and found a lone Laddie. I was playing the Top Flight V2, a 3 piece ball that is touted by the guys I play with as "The poor man's ProV"and is softer in compression. After I hit it, I wondered why I ever stopped playing it. On the next tee, I hit the drive of my life, outdriving our foursome's long hitter by about 20 yards. Everyone, myself included, wondered wher that came from. Was it the Laddie? Who knows, but the rest of the round shots were longer than they had been in a very long time. I went to the local Golf Mart and got 2 dozen for twenty bucks. It plays long, has a sweet sound when well struck and I swear my game is better when I use it. I doubt I will ever play another ball again.
