I am a big Prescriptives fan when it comes to foundation. They have so many lines to choose from. And most of their lines are totally oil-free, which is a big plus for acne prone skin. I have used the 100% Oil Free and Unmakeup foundations in the past, and was disappointed to see Unmakeup is now discontinued. Traceless foundation, however, is very similar to Unmakeup. It comes in the same squeeze tube container with a twist off cap which makes it easy to carry in a purse or travel with. Keeps makeup clean and tidy.
Traceless goes on smooth and spreads very easily. You will not have to work very hard to apply it to your skin. If you have used Prescriptives Unmakeup in the past, Traceless goes on even sheerer. The SPF is only 8 though,(unlike Unmakeup which was SPF 15), so if you need something with more SPF look elsewhere. This makeup is also very sheer, and is not made to cover up imperfections, so use a concealer first in order to do this. You will be done applying this makeup and feel like you don't have it on at all. So what's the point? It polishes and evens your skin tone. It makes your skin look radiant and done without being cakey or heavy at all. I have oily skin and do not wear any moisturizer at all under this.
The downside is that Prescriptives is a bit expensive. One tube of Unmakeup would last me about 4 to 5 months. Since the Traceless tube is exactly the same size, I would expect this tube to last me about the same. I don't apply sparely either.
If you have problem skin and lots of blemishes, this makeup is not for you. But if your skin is healthy and you are looking for something light and sheer this is it.
