Pros: Extremely easy to use and keep clean.
Cons: It tilts, so you can lose your eggs or other ingredients into the fat cup.
The Bottom Line: This griddle makes cooking quick and easy. Finally, breakfast is ready all at once!

This Presto griddle is a real time-saver for cooking breakfast or a quick burger. The griddle heats up quickly, cooks fairly evenly, and makes it possible to cook an entire breakfast using only one appliance, which saves time in clean-up while making breakfast fun again!
One of the main reasons I really like this griddle is because my husband likes it! :-) He actually made me breakfast in bed the second time he used it, which was a really decadent treat for me. He likes to cook breakfast (in fact, it's the only meal he likes to cook), but he never quite knew how to heat up the pans correctly to cook the eggs, sausage or bacon, and hash browns all at once, so everything got done at the same time. This griddle is easy for him to use, and big enough to hold all the ingredients for a good breakfast, including eggs, bacon or sausage, and hash browns. It would also work equally well with French toast or pancakes, although we haven't used it for these yet.
The Presto Cool Touch Griddle is a snap to clean, you just remove the heat dial, and immerse the entire griddle in warm soapy water. (Don't immerse the heat dial at all!) That was one of the reasons I bought this model, because I wanted something that was easy to clean. What good is a griddle if you can't remove the food and grease easily? Speaking of grease, that's another positive about this griddle, it has a small lip around the edge, so grease won't run on to your counter, and it also has an extra-large grease cup that holds the run-off from your greasy foods. The cup is very easy to remove and empty, and will do nicely in the top rack of your dishwasher.
The Minuses
Of course, with just about anything, there are some details that just don't work well. There are only a couple with this griddle, and I don't think they are enough to keep you from buying it, as they would probably exist in just about any griddle.
First, since the griddle tilts slightly toward the grease cup so grease can run off, you may lose your very liquid items if you're not careful. The first time my husband cooked eggs, his fried eggs slid right off the griddle into the cup of grease when he put them on to cook. He has learned to move them away from the cup area, and hold them with a spatula when he first places them on the griddle, until they firm up.
Second, if you're cooking something extra greasy, such as bacon, be prepared for a messy countertop. When we cook bacon, it splatters off the grill to the surrounding counter or stovetop. We've conquered this by using the griddle on the stove, which is easier to clean, and not cooking really greasy items. (I like sausage better, anyway). You could also spread newspaper around the griddle to catch the grease, too.
Griddle Basics
I would recommend this griddle to anyone who's sick and tired of using every frying pan in the house to prepare breakfast. The cooking surface is large 18 1/2 by 12, and the griddle heats up quickly, and sits solidly on the counter or stove top. It comes with an instruction pamphlet that could certainly be more detailed, but does give a good list of temperatures to use when cooking a variety of foods, and not just breakfast foods either. You can also cook thinks like hamburgers, pork chops, and steaks on this grill. I haven't tried them yet, as I bought this mainly for breakfast, but it's nice to know it can do double duty.
Clean-up is very easy, and anything that gets my husband to make me breakfast in bed is a real plus in my opinion! I'm very pleased with this griddle, and would certainly purchase another one if I had to. However, this griddle seems solidly built, and looks like it should last a long time. Oh, and did I mention it's non-stick, so you don't have to worry about stuck on eggs and hash browns? Just don't use any metal utensils on this griddle, and it should last a long time.
