Cons: Would love it more if it had a on/off switch instead of plug/replug.
The Bottom Line: Don't waste your money buying box after box of microwave popcorn. In the same amount of time, you can have a better tasting and healthier treat!
Audrey1978's Full Review: Presto 04820 PopLite Popcorn Maker
My family and I are "popcorn-a-holics". We spent THOUSANDS of dollars over the years on microwave popcorn, easily. We've bought the ACT II cases at Sam's Club. We've bought all flavors, all kinds. We love popcorn.
On one night about three months ago, I was shopping at Walmart with all my kids in tow. I happened to see this product and it was only $15. Immediately I tossed it into my cart. A quick trip to the popcorn aisle led me to a 77 cent bag of popcorn and some Orville Redenbacher's flavor oil.
When we got home, we had to try it out. The kids were SO excited!
The base unit is white and sturdy. The yellow top comes off and the butter melter in the top also doubles as a measuring cup- so you don't put too much popcorn inside the machine.
We simply poured the popcorn kernels into the base, replaced the top and the measuring cup/butter melter and plugged the machine in.
Within minutes the kernels began to pop. Our Popcorn bowl was filling up fast! I sprinkled some salt and some of the Orville Redenbacher's flavor oil on top, tossed it a bit and we all dug in.
Hands down, it beats microwave popcorn ANY day. It's healthier too!
We're sold on this product. In the past three months we've made only one popcorn purchase- and that was for the gigantic bag of popcorn kernels at Sam's Club!
This is truly one of the best products I've ever bought.
Cleanup is easy too- the top comes off and you can hand wash that in soapy water. If there's any spare kernels left behind, when they are cooled down you can simply dump them out.
Our Poplite machine is now a staple on our kitchen counter. If you love popcorn, you need this machine!
