The Bottom Line: The three different sizes of the Triple Threat graphite all play like three totally different racquets so make sure you try out all of them!!

The Triple Threat Graphite is the only racquet that prince makes that comes in three different head sizes. The midsize, midplus, and oversize versions of the graphite all play different.

Before I go on with the rest of my review I would just like to say if you read my profile you will find that I have played tennis for a number of years now. I am also a tennis instructor at a local club, along with being a salesperson at a leading tennis retailer. So I have had access to demo almost every racquet on the market right now.

First here are some specs of the racquet and then I will explain in further detail.

Prince Triple Threat Graphite:

- Head size: midsize- 95 sq. inches
midplus- 100 sq. inches
oversize- 107 sq. inches
- Length: midsize- 27 inches
midplus & oversize- 27.5 inches
- Composition: Graphite Extreme/Copper/Titanium
- Weight: midsize- 11oz
midplus- 11.5oz
oversize- 11.2oz
- Power: low-medium
- Control: high
- Grip Heavy

I will first give you an overview of what the triple threat system is since it applies to all three sizes of the racquet. The triple threat line of frames has titanium/carbon braids in the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions along with at the base of the handle. What this does is provide a special weighting system that increases stability and control and decreases vibration.

Midsize Version:

If you like the prince original graphite classic then you will love this frame. This racquet has amazing stability with the triple threat system. The half inch shorter frame then the MP and OS versions increases the control a little bit along with maneuverability. Groundstrokes are easily controlled, and volleys are crisp. The triple threat weighting system allows you to generate head speed a little easier, which is going to be needed with this racquet. The stiffness of the racquet means you will have to be able to create your own power.

There is very little vibration with the MS version as the triple threat system cuts down on it, along with dense string pattern, and extra stability a bar across the bottom of the frame.

I recommend the midsize version for people who are looking for a control racquet with great stability and feel, who can generate their own power on ground strokes and serves.

Midplus Version:

Although the MP version is only 5 sq. inches bigger and a half inch longer, it plays dramatically different then the MS. With the longer length and less dense string pattern a lot more power is created with the frame making this racquet a better choice for intermediate players then the MP version. On ground strokes let the weighting system do the work, there is no need to force shots with it. The MP version is also very good on serves as it is just as easy to hit that slamming serve down the middle as it is to kick one out wide. If you’re looking for a little more punch then the MS version then try out this racquet.

Oversize Version:

The oversize version is not necessarily the most powerful out of the three even though it’s bigger. The power level of this racquet plays equal to the MP version just with a bigger sweet spot. The more open string pattern allows for this racquet to create spin more easily. Although the open string pattern does create more vibration then the MS or MP versions. Players who want all the benefits of the Triple Braid weighting but with a larger sweetspot will enjoy the Triple Threat Graphite Oversize.
