| teamsporttrac's Full Review: Princeton Tec Predator Pro Headlamp |
I originally purchased this headlamp for Duck Hunting. The headlamp has made it much easier to deal with decoys and such in the dark. Having both hands free is a great advantage. After I realized how nice it is to wear this headlamp (instead of a mag light), I began wearing it camping, fishing, and even when working in the yard!
Price and brand quality (Princeton Tec) are the 2 biggest factors that influenced my decision on this headlamp. The lamp housing is very solid, rugged, and durable. The padding on the back of it lets it rest gently on your forehead - so no headaches. Waterproof too! I've dropped mine in the marsh a few times and it still works fine.
If I were to buy one again, I'd get the upgraded bulb (xenon or halogen I believe) to make things just a little brighter. Also, extended battery life would be nice. My lamp begins to dim at ~5-6 hours of use.
