Pros: Price, good workout if it was built better

The Bottom Line: Cheaply made Chinese junk.

I had this thing for three weeks and returned it. The first couple of days is worked fine, it was nice and quiet and seemed to give a good workout. Although being 6 foot, I had some occasional problems hitting my knees on the poles and remaining in a comfortable position for a long period of time. This machine seems better suited for people about 5'5".
However, as the days went by, it starting getting louder and louder. A squeak, here, rattle there, and grinding elsewhere. I had to stop in the middle of a workout a couple times to regrease the bolt where the legs attach to the flywheel because it was squeaking very loudly. Apparently they forgot to grease it at the factory, as when I went to touch it I nearly burned my finger from the heat generated by the friction. The bolt was bone dry, with almost no lubrication to speak of. Mind you, that portion of machine was pre-assambled and did not require any maintenence on my part according to the manual. Then other parts of the machine began creaking, but the last straw came when the resistance motor burned out after only three weeks. To top it off, ICON's solution was to send me a new motor that I had replace myself. I was so fed up with this machine that I returned it to the store and got an Eclipse 4100. I would not recommend any Proform or ICON fitness products based on my experience with them.
And FYI, ICON also makes Weslo brand products, which I didnt know, or I wouldnt have bought this heap of junk. I had a Weslo elliptical that I returned after 2 months because the metal frame cracked at the weld points (mind you Im only 170 lbs.). Avoid their cheaply made junk.
