Re: do you work for Nordic Track (Reply to this comment)

No, I don't work for Nordic Track...wouldn't mind though! : )

I guess you must have very unique biomechanics if you find the ProForm more comfortable than even the PRECOR! That's like hearing someone say they prefer a Ford Escort over a Lexus. On that scale, I'd rate the Nordic Track at about a Toyota Camry.

Oh well, to each his own...

do you work for Nordic Track? (Reply to this comment)

I just spent a week going from store to store trying all different brands of ellipticals to try and find one that I will use and enjoy and feel right to me.
I was thinking of the NordicTrack 925, cause it felt sturdy and had a smooth glide, but i was only testing it for a few minutes at Sears.
Funny thing is, the things you don't like about the ProForm is what attracted me to it and made me pick it over more expensive machines. In fact I get lots of knee pain on the gym machines, especially the Precor (thousands of dollars)machines. I think mainly because of the long strides which put a constant pressure on my knee to constantly keep gliding it forward.
The Proform was the only one that i felt absorbed the impact with its flex system that bends when you stride forward and gives rather than making your joints absorb that strain. So that bouncy almost stair stepping feeling is what I liked. I think it feels fun and easier on my joints, keeps me working out longer. And is more aerobic because of that, I can go longer than on an expensive gym machine.
I also liked leaning forward a bit to allow my body weight to help in the momentum.
And the front handles are very comfortable, I think Proform listened to many people in designing the 900 from all previous models of theirs. Great!
But everyones' got an opinion, that's why I felt like commenting on yours.
Keep up sharing, it can only help others decide for themselves. :)

LOL! I'm actually Vietnamese, genius...and if you don't think that Asian people are *on average* shorter than most other races, I'd recommend you go visit an optometrist.

Stop with the racism (Reply to this comment)

Please focus on the product instead of making racist remarks. The fact that you say most Chinese are short shows you don't know what you're talking about? Ever heard of Yao Ming!

Anyway, I'm Chinese and just bought a ProForm and it works fine for me. Maybe your arms are too short!
