Long ago it was explained to me that facial moisturizer use is a recommended step for all facial types. My challenges with regard to use of such stem from a sometimes oily t-zone and the fact that I am prone to adult acne. So it is vital that the product not clog pores and not increase oil productivity. Over the years I have found a few that fit all of that criteria. When I started to realize success from the Proactiv Solutions system, interest toward other products in the line elevated. I was excited to try the Proactiv Solution Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 15.

Our Pacific Northwest summer has offered more sun-filled days than most that I remember. Combine that with a trip to Las Vegas, and you can probably understand an increased need for skin moisturizer. For mild dryness, Proactiv Solution Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 15 has proved to be an effective light moisturizer. One that has provided the SPF that my skin needs, and the perfect amount of moisture. In fact it is a remarkable compliment to use of the Proactiv Renewing Cleanser, Deep Cleansing Wash, Revitalizing Toner, Repairing Lotion and other products from this acne combative line.
When purchased independently (versus in a kit formation) the 1.7 oz. bottle is $27.00 (via QVC); however you can reap substantial savings when purchasing a full line kit. The plastic bottle has evergreen lettering and offers a pump dispenser at the top of the bottle. It is easy to dispense the moisturizer, and a small portion goes a long ways. Instructions tell us to apply the Proactiv Solution Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 15 to cleansed face and neck. This moisturizer can be worn alone, over the Revitalizing Toner and/or Repairing Lotion and under make-up. Use of this product is fine for those not using the Proactiv system, but we are warned to not use it on those under 6 months of age (without doctor permission).
I dispense one pump worth – approximately the size of a large pea – and smooth it over my face and neck. This product is easy to apply, refreshing, and – as mentioned – a tiny portion gets the job done. There is barely any evident scent – neither offensive nor preferred – and it quickly dissipates. Additionally the moisturizer is absorbed into my skin, refraining from interference with make-up application. In fact it is my opinion that use of this product assists with even application of foundation.
In addition to this moisturizer I also like Kiss My Face Ultra Light Facial Creme.
While you don't have to be plagued with problem skin to use Oil Free Moisturizer, this product was developed for those using the Proactiv system. I am pleased with how this moisturizer works for me and plan on continual use. I do notice a difference in the condition of my skin and appreciate how smooth it makes my face feel. After repeated use I can state that this product is successful and refrains from clogging pores. It is important to note that you have to mail order or purchase this product online. At this time I prefer the pricing at QVC.
