I am 22 years old and have been plagued by acne ever since I was 12 years old. For 10 years, my face has been an eruption of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, and cysts. I ordered it on Sunday and received it on Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. I tried the whole system: facial cleanser, face mask, astringent, and repairing lotion that first night. The facial mask has a light exfoliant in it. This just gently removes dead skin cells, without removing the moisture in your skin. The next morning, I was amazed. None of the pimples immediately cleared up, but there was definitely a change in the texture of my skin. My skin felt softer and smoother. It didn't appear as red. The acne looked "less angry".

In total, the system from facial cleanser to repairing lotion took me approximately 13 minutes. (Including a 5 minute "drying" time for the face mask.)

It's been about 1 month since I started using PROACTIV and I couldn't be happier. I do my regime religiously and things have noticeably improved. My acne has noticeable cleared, although it's not totally cleared (but after 10 years of acne, it's definitely an improvement). I have no active pimples, whiteheads, or cysts on my face. However, there are a few stray blackheads on my cheeks.

I now have the confidence to walk out of my house with no makeup on and run errands. PROACTIV has given me a sense of self-confidence that just was not there when I was younger.

Yet, PROACTIV is expensive. It costs approximately $40. For the facial wash, face mask, astringent, and repairing lotion. Also, if you get it on QVC, you will receive a body/face wash you can use in the shower (that has a mild exfoliant in it, also).

Amounts of the product you will receive:
1.) Renewing Facial Cleanser - 4.00 fl. oz. (120mL)
2.) Refining Facial Mask - 2.5 oz. (70 g)
3.) Revitalizing Toner - 4.0 fl. oz. (120 mL)
4.) Repairing Lotion - 2.0 fl. oz. (60 mL)

I can't tell you if these products will be "harsh" on your face. I have sensitive skin, and these products have slightly tingled (very rarely, burned) my face.
