Pros: They have cool infomercials.
Cons: very drying to the skin
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't NOT recommend this product. But, just be aware it may not work for you.

| oneapril's Full Review: Proactive Solution Repairing Lotion |
You know, I wish I had something better to say about Proactiv because I like P-Diddy and Kelly Clarkson and I know that their commercials are part of their meal ticket. But I digress. I really didn't like the way this worked. Now, It could just be my skin just didn't like the Proactiv but it never really delivered.
I bought this product because I started breaking out really badly in college. I saw the info-mercials and thought this was the answer to my prayers. I got the package and here I went. After about a month of using Proactiv I saw no change.
I did the whole routine: Scrub, Toner, Repairing lotion. I did it once in the morning to start, then eventually moved up to morning and evening. I even used the sulfur face mask that was included in the kit about once a week. It just didn't do anything for me.
If anything, I think it made my skin worse because (this is gross) it would dry out my skin, leaving me with a crusted over pimple that would be unpopable. So, now I had dry skin with large bumps on it.
I paid about $60 a month, for home delivery, for a year and then finally cancelled it. I can only speak for myself on this one, but I found out that the less I do to my skin, the clearer it is. I think the Proactiv, oddly enough, is not good for sensitive, acne prone skin.
I do have to say that the repairing lotion is good for getting rid of redness. In other words, if a pimple has been popped, and it's just the red remnant left over, the repairing lotion will even out the skin tone. I found that to be pleasing.
But, I think that the scrub was too harsh and it just made me break out more.
