I am not one to buy things advertised on tv. I was curious to try and even cut corners the first time I bought it by going to ebay so I wouldn't be on their mailing list. I paid $39. A few months later I decided I liked it so much that I would get on their auto order mailing program.
The repairing lotion is the 3rd step of Proactiv’s 3 step program. The others steps are a cleanser and a toner. At one point I tried the repairing lotion with different brands of cleansers/toners and it still worked well to keep my skin clear, so I think the repairing lotion is the part of the program that really counts.
After trying my ebay purchase I tried a look-alike brand and I realized the Proactiv brand is much better! The whole system really makes your skin soft and smooth and evens out any blotchiness.
In the end, I did like the product but it was the auto mailing that was a pain. More and more solution piled up in my cabinets and personally I enjoy switching brands every once in awhile and shopping around for different skin products. My excuse to stop ordering was that I no longer enjoyed the smell. I figured they couldn’t argue with that.
