| nsane1's Full Review: Qualcomm PDQ Cell Phone |
I bought this phone the day it came out from Sprint last year. I bought it since I have always been a palm user, my palm was broken, and I needed a new cell phone. This product is the only one on the market that is so feature-rich (and still be a pilot).
I could go on and on about the phone, but other opinions do that justice, I'll just talk about my experiences. One, it's big when you look at it as a phone. When looked at as a phone and a pilot (2 devices) it is smaller. And in meetings I never see someone with just their pilot or just a phone (if they own both) they bring both. Second, there are great synergies in combining these tools. It is the only "true-html" phone out there with decent response time (19.2kbps on Sprint).
However, the support is lackluster. This is a complicated phone, Sprint can't understand it, Kyocera has not taken up the slack from Qualcomm (no OS updates, no way to update to SSL on the browser, or get bug fixes for the PDQ suite). So you are on your own for support. It has only 2MB and thats all it will ever have.
