This is absolutely cutting-edge technology in the palm of your hand. The phone's design is like nothing I have ever seen before, from it's tin but wide design which makes holding with big hands easier to the buttons-on-the-outside flip/microphone. The most amazing thing here is the touch-point panel on the front of the phone. If you have already used Palm Pilot's operating system (Palm III) then you have already learned all you need to know for this wonderful business and personal organization tool. It is packed with features like the ability to send and receive e-mail, the ability to browse the WAP Web, keep a log of a ton of people who have called you and you have called as well as the standard quick key feature. There are thousands of third-party applications for this device as well, which makes it the most well supported web phone on the market. This cell phone is sleek and sexy; its design is unique and efficient while managing to retain stylishness. The service for this phone is provided by GTE Digital (in the Bay Area at least), and their coverage is quite comprehensive here. The 800MHz Dual Mode CDMA version of this phone is in my opinion a much better buy than the 1900MHz version of the phone (Strictly PCS). The max talk time is 2.5 hours and the max standby is 40 hours, making this phone an even greater adversary to the entire cell phone market. This is clearly the phone of the future, and for all my price and feature shopping, I truly want this phone even though the price is exorbitant - it is worth the extra money. The one thing I would caution prospective buyers to do is check www.cellmania.com for the calling area in your locale that is supported using this phone.
