Not all business size envelopes are created equal, which is one reason I use Quality Park Business Envelopes, size # 10.
Description
These rectangular envelopes are the typical #10 business size. They measure 4 1/8" x 9 1/2". The envelopes are white and have a V-flap gummed closure. These particular envelopes are plain white (20 lb. weight) and do not have a security lining. Each cardboard box comes with 50 envelopes.
Our Experiences
I purchase these envelopes for the office. Every once and awhile we need a plain white envelope without the company logo or other printing.
In the past, I have purchased another brand of envelope that did not feed well through the laser printer. It invariably distorted its shape and crinkled during the print process. These Quality Park envelopes are a true rectangle that is well made. After buying many boxes of these envelopes, I have only seen a top quality product.
We use these envelopes for mailing letters. We also have placed items inside these envelopes and then inserted them inside a larger manila envelope. Another use for them is when we refill our postage meter. The meter prints out a receipt, and we find it best to have that receipt print on these nice white envelopes. The red ink is easy to see against the white color, plus the envelopes are a larger size than if we printed the receipt on postage tape. It makes them easier to file.
Note that these are white envelopes without any type of lining. If a small sheet of paper is inserted into the envelope (say a check) then the writing is visible through the envelope. Not a good safety mailing. If inserting something that I don't want visible through the envelope, I make sure to fold the paper several times, or I fold a blank piece of paper around the smaller piece of paper.
These envelopes have a nice deep V-shaped flap. Unlike some envelopes, the gum on these is one solid line. The gum edge stops about 1 1/4" from either edge of the flap. I don't like licking envelopes, so I use a damp paper towel or an inexpensive plastic tube filled with water that has a sponge on the top to seal the envelopes. These Quality Park envelopes seal well, too.
Many people in our office use these Quality Park Business Envelopes for a variety of purposes. We are very happy with the product's quality, and I will buy more of these when we need them.
