| Staceys1's Full Review: Quality Plastic Mailers White 9 x 12 100/Pack |
I never gave that much thought to how many varieties of envelopes are actually available until I began working for a small law firm and we needed to purchase supplies.
One of the items we were recently in need of was envelopes which would allow us to mail standard 8 x 11 paper without it being folded. The general consensus was that we wanted something different from the ones we had been using, but nobody was sure what to get. By putting in the search term "9 x 12 envelopes" into one online store's search engine, 42 results were received!
Of course, most envelopes are made from paper, but the ones we now use are not. The plastic 9 x 12 mailers made by Quality Park seemed to be just what we needed, for a number of reasons. First, they met our basic need of being the correct size. Second, since they are plastic, and not paper, they are not prone to tearing so that our documents are secure inside. In fact, even when I try to rip an envelope on purpose I cannot do so and need a scissor to cut it. The plastic also keeps the documents inside safer than paper would in the rain and snow.
Lastly, each envelope has a peel off strip which exposes glue with which to seal the envelope. To close the envelope, peel off the "redi-strip" paper which reveals sticky tape and fold the top of the envelope over to secure it. We do not have to lick the envelopes or fuss with glue sticks to seal them. Before closing the envelope, be sure that you are ready to mail your documents because try as you might, you will not be able un-peel it once it is sealed. To open the envelope, there is a perforated line below the sticky closure that can be pulled apart. You do need to give this perforation a good tug to get it open and it will not open accidentally.
We often enclose one of these envelopes, self-addressed and stamped, with our documents so that we can receive a copy back. When they arrive in the mail, they still look neat and appear to go through the postal service with no problems.
Our office generally uses mailing labels for all of our outgoing mail and our labels adhere quite well to these plastic mailers. In fact, I have tried to peel off an incorrect label, and while the label ripped, most of the stickiness remained on the envelope.
These 9 x 12 Quality Park Plastic Mailers are all white with no markings on it and are made from 25% recycled plastic material. The envelopes are opaque and therefore your documents inside remain confidential. We have been pleased with these envelopes and plan on ordering them again. You might want to choose plastic rather than paper for your mailing needs!
