This is the first "real" pool I purchased for my children. There are two versions, one with a filter system and one without. This version comes without a filter and can be purchased at KayBee, CVS or RiteAid so you're swimming the same day.

Although the pool is small, it is large enough for a few kids and even an adult or two sitting down. The water is deep enough for little ones over three to swim or stand comfortably. It is simple to set up and doesn't require more than a flat surface.

Lay out the ground cloth, pump the outer rim of the pool with air and fill with your garden house (make sure the drain opening is sealed close). The pressure of the water makes the pool "stand up" as it fills. It is larger than you think and really offers a lot of fun for children up to ten on a hot summer day - in fact, we had kids up to 12 enjoy this little pool (and this adult even put a float in it).

With no filter, the pool gets dirty quickly but you can easily drain and refill it. I keep a small baby pool near the side so the kids can rinse their feet before getting into the larger pool, which keeps it cleaner for a longer period of time. You can purchase an optional filter or get the version with a filter, which usually costs about $30 or $40 extra. While the filter is not very powerful (it only lasted a year for us), it does help to keep the pool cleaner without constantly draining it.

For such a small price, this pool is great. The kids feel like they are in a "real" pool and the adults can even enjoy it. As odd as it sounds, make sure to check fencing laws in your area. Some pools (even little ones like this) require fencing by law, so be in the know. Otherwise, you can't beat this affordable, easy to set pool.
