| John_Ferrara's Full Review: RCA Kazoo RD1060 (64 MB) MP3 Player |
My wife has been wanting one of these things for quite a while now so she can go to the gym and have some music, just not something so big it beats her up on the treadmill...
This unit is actually pretty good for it's sound clarity and reproduction of music. There is little to no distortion at low and high volume (A big plus for loud gyms and such) The included gear that it comes with is ok, not great. The neck strap is about the best things it comes with.
Now for the bad. The wrist strap and plastic holder stinks. It looks like a little shower cap held to your wrist with velcro and it does not fit very small wrists like my wife. (Heck it barely fit her forearm. It's just made for too large a wrist) The software it comes with is pretty akward and hard to use. I'll be looking to replace the software soon. It's just not user friendly and it tries to make itself the default for all media on your computer.
If you are looking for a no frills MP3 player, this is pretty good. If you're looking for anything more, try something else.
