wkania's Full Review: RCA RD1000 Kazoo (32 MB) MP3 Player
The K@zoo is a great MP3 player if you're looking for something small. It is extremely light-weight and portable. It easily attaches to belts, a wrist-band (included), and a neck-strap. For someone who wants to work out to music, this is a great device.
RCA made this MP3 player for active music-lovers. The size is perfect for anyone wanting a small MP3 player, and although it only comes with 32 MBs of space, it is upgradeable when you add MMC cards (which currently only hold 64 MBs, but will soon hold 128 MBs). The sound quality is amazing, and the volume control goes up extremely high (higher than most people will even care to listen to). Also, RCA plans on coming out with an update for the K@zoo so that it can play MP3Pro files (basically, MP3 files that can be compressed to half their current size while maintaining quality), which means that you could soon store 60 minutes of music with just the 32 MBs that it has on it.
The only downside (that I've found) is that there is no track information in the display. It only tells you the track number and the time elapsed. I didn't think this would be a problem, but when you change your music on it quite a bit (like I do), it becomes annoying if you're looking for a certain song (and can get more annoying if you've got MMC cards and have 20+ songs on there). However, I feel this isn't enough for me to consider the K@zoo a poor buy.
Overall, the sound quality and the size are the best parts of this player. Definitely a great buy, now that it costs under $100.
