Although I've only had The Blackberry Bold for about two weeks, it feels more like two years. It's extremely easy to adapt to, and very user friendly.

The 3.2 MP camera with flash and autofocus allows you to capture some of your best moments with just a simple click. You have the option of accessing the camera through the main menu, or you can set your choice of the two side buttons as an even easier access key. The clarity of each picture taken is precise. And if you would like to share your photos, you have the option to send the photo through email or an MMS message. Although the flash is a little blinding, it really does its job of brightening up your photos. Same goes for the built in video camera. However, the clarity isn’t nearly as good as the camera’s; it still does its job of capturing memories while you’re on the move.  Videos can also be shared through email or MMS message.

The Blackberry Bold 9700 is Wi-Fi capable and also offers backup assistance. Although accessing the internet may take a few minutes to load, you have access to everything the internet has to offer. You can check or update your Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace, along with quickly getting questions answered through Google, Bing, or any other search engines. You have the capability to bookmark all your favorite sites as well. With this smartphone, you can add up to 11 email addresses to the BIS, including 10 supported email accounts, and one Blackberry email account. You are notified immediately when an email is received.

You have the capability to download music. Although I haven’t personally tested this feature, the Blackberry Bold 9700 comes with an integrated speaker and microphone. With the media player, you have the option to download music and videos from your favorite artists, along with games and much more. The Blackberry Bold comes with V CAST music with Rhapsody and is V CAST Video capable.

The Blackberry Bold has its own app store known as Blackberry App World. Although most apps come with a price, some are also offered as free. There’s literally an app for just about everything. From games, to books, to even the closest malls, the Blackberry App World has it all.

And oh yes, it’s a phone too! The Blackberry Bold has the Push to Talk feature which I have not yet tested myself. When placing a call, reception is crystal clear. You can type in the number you wish to call, or retrieve one from your contacts. Within a few clicks, you can be in touch with whomever, whenever.

Texting is quick and easy. The full qwerty keyboard may be challenging at first if your fingertips are rather wide. Smaller fingers should have no problem gliding right over whatever you wish to type. The light at the top right of the smartphone will light up red when a new SMS text or MMS text is received. That way, if you don’t hear one of the many ringtone options, or the phone vibrate, your eyes can tell that you have mail.

Stressing about portability? No need for that with this smartphone. The dimensions of the Blackberry Bold are 4.40 x 2.40. It fits in almost all pockets and compartments in your bags or purses. When not stores, this smartphone fits comfortably right in your hand. Portability is hassle free.

The battery can handle usage time of up to 300 minutes, or standby time of 312 hours. This way, you’ll never have to worry about your phone dying during a busy day.

Unlike the trackball, the trackpad allows you to navigate around the screen more efficiently and with minimal effort. I find the trackpad to be more precise than the trackball.
