Pros:Despite this product, Rain-X is a good brand...
Cons:Did not appear to do anything.
The Bottom Line: This product is ineffective for what it is supposed to do. Buy Rain-X for the outside of your windows and Windex for the inside.
Ive always been annoyed by that fog that forms on your windshield when it first starts to rain. Sure, you turn on the air-conditioning, turn up the heat and the fog is gone in seconds. But then you have a warm car. If you have the air conditioning on cold then you are still fogging up the windows. So I bought this product (Rain-X Anti-fog) and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, it didnt work. Maybe it works in that fog forms later or is less severe. I dont know. All I know is that I still get fog on my windshield and it seems to be about the same as before.

The product is generally sold in a liquid form (7 ounces) for $4.99. The application of the product is similar to Rain-X, in that you apply it with a rag and then remove it with a clean rag. Unlike Rain-X, however, which goes on the easy-to-reach outside of the windshield, this goes on the inside of the windshield and on a 2000 New Beetle that means it is very hard to apply. For me I put total application time around 5 minutes, and since the inside of my car is warmer then the outside, it will bring a sweat.
After application, I drove around a bit. Without the product I seem to get random fog on my windshield during rains. With the product I seem to get random fog on my windshield during rains. I didnt notice a pooling effect of the previous reviewer. In my case I didnt notice any major effect at all. Perhaps there is less random fog maybe with a 50% reduction in fog I would not notice a major difference. After all, fog is the type of thing you only notice when it was there. As for durability of the product I cant tell. My best guess is that it only lasts one day.
Like the other reviewer, I also had a little problem with this product leaving streaks on my windshield. In my case it wasnt all that noticeable (more like having a dirty windshield then something you couldnt see out of) but it was definitely there. The streaks came off with my usual application of Windex.
Also I didnt notice any problems with this product on the interior plastic of my car. As I mentioned earlier, it is a bit difficult to apply to the windshield of a New Beetle and there is inevitable
Spillage. I did not notice any problem with the spillage which I simply wiped up with a rag.
The regular Rain-X is one of the better products in existence. This one it just doesnt seem to work. I figure it must work a little, otherwise they couldnt sell it, as it would hurt the brand. Or maybe the product works for other people. But for me it didnt work, and it made my windshield a little bit
smudgy. Since it doesnt work, I have to give it one star. I definitely dont recommend this product to anybody.
Ease of Application: Average; takes some care to apply and shine well
